About nikefreak

I was adopted when I was 3 months old from Taipei, Taiwan and brought into Chicago, then moved to Iowa and was raised there. I currently live in Portland, Oregon.

I love rap, rock, just about any music I like though. Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. are my favorite rappers of all time. Jay-Z, DMX, Eminem, and Nas are the few good ones left. Hip-hip, as QB's finest says, IS dead. There are just way too many "pop" rappers and everyone talks about the same things; it gets repetitive and extremely boring. Evanescence is also a fav, with Amy Lee's beautiful voice. Linkin Park, Rage Against The Machine, Korn, System of A Down, Story Of The Year, and Trapt are some of my favorites in rock. I like to read a lot, as John Grisham is my favorite author, although I'll read almost any genre, other than those crappy romance novels. I collect Nike shoes and just about anything and everything that has to do with the company, including golf clubs, baseball gloves, and football cleats.

I have to say I root for completely different college teams though! I love Florida State in football, because they beat Nebraska all those years and I HATE the Huskers with a passion and I root for North Carolina in basketball, because my favorite player of all time went there, Michael Jordan. The Chicago Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks are my other teams because of my late grandpa. I like the San Francisco 49ers because when I was 8, I had Roger Craig on my pajamas and that's who I stuck with. Yeah, it's a little kiddish; I don't care!

Alias, 24, and Buffy are my favorite TV shows, although unfortunately two of those three are no longer on the air. Denzel Washington is my favorite actor, as Glory and Training Day are two of my favorite movies. I love just about any movie, as I am easily amused. A movie doesn't have to have the greatest script, tremendous cinematography, or the A-list actors to keep me entertained. Give me action, drama, scary, comedy, and even the occasional chick-flick.

Let me know if you have any questions on how I ranked a review of yours, I am always open for people to e-mail me with questions because I guarantee I will write you back. It might take me a bit, but I think it's only fair and respectful to write others back if they have a question. One last thing: Just have fun! This site has gotten to a lot of petty stuff lately and I don't deal with that crap; let things go and just have fun writing reviews and "meeting" new and interesting people.

I am really getting weirded out by the fundamental changes in the system here at Epinions; why the sudden change that athletic shoes are in the wellness/beauty category?? That makes absolutely no sense to me; so instead of being a TR in sports/outdoors, where these shoes should be, I am just more likely now to be a TR in wellness/beauty, which is irrelevant to what I write about and may cause confusion among consumers trying to find out information about different athletic shoes. If anyone has a clue to this, please e-mail me!.
