About norm
I've been on the web since 1993, back when Mosaic was the web browser of choice (as if there was a choice back then). I've been involved with developing several web sites since 1994 (CNET, Snap.com, NBC Internet), and am currently a java developer at Gamers.com.

I spent 9 years straight as a competitive rower. I don't compete anymore, but I maintain RowingLinks.com as a hobby and as a way to stay connected to the sport.

I am an avid mountain biker, having been to most of the trails in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as to trails in Lake Tahoe, CA and Moab, Utah.

During the winters I like to go snowboarding. I've only been to resorts in the Lake Tahoe, CA region, but hope to travel to other resorts around North America some day.
