Hello, everyone! I have been gone for over a year but now I am back! And I am glad to be back. My hiatus was due to a Ritz-Carlton hotel at Lake Tahoe I was building. I have been on the project for the past year and it was absorbing all my time. It was starting to affect my family, and perhaps my sanity, too. So I quit that job. I hate to be a quitter, but there was no way I could do that for the next 2 years.
Now I have a new job. My new job has travel involved, so here come the hotel reviews. Since I will be spending time in hotel rooms, and I don't like to watch a lot of TV, I will be banging out some reviews. In fact, I have a significant back log to write. You can see my to do list at the bottom.
Now I have more time to spend with my family. I have 4 children of my very own. Shaping, molding and warping into little hotel dorks. Be afraid world, be very afraid.
I'm such a hotel dweeb, that I record all the episodes of The Travel Channel's TV show Great Hotels on DVD's. I have them catalogued and organized. This way when I recommend a hotel to a friend, I can just hand them a DVD.
I'm a freak...I know. I used to go to a therapist, but he's been on a sabbatical the last few years visiting hotels. I guess our sessions had an impact on him...
