I'm a stay at home Mom with 2 children, living in Oregon. I enjoy being with my family, writing, gardening and playing with my dogs (pound puppies). I read every day and am rarely without a book.
My parenthood philosophy is expressed best by
Albert Schweitzer:
"No ray of sunshine is ever lost, but the green which
it awakens needs time to sprout, and it is not always
granted for the sower to see the harvest. All work
that is worth anything is done in faith."
One thing I'd like my children to develop is a personal ethics/values system that is independent of reward or punishment. That means that they will try to do the right thing regardless of what good or bad things will happen to them as a result.
Epinions is a fun hobby for me right now. It allows me to write
in short spurts while I have young children at home. My goal is
to spend more time writing when they are older. But for now, it
gives me an adult pursuit which preserves a small shred of sanity!
