Nota bene: a movie review should be more than plot summary, a cast listing, and an accounting of crew credentials with a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down. A film should be brushed against its grain, to find those spurs which catch, or fail to catch, one's critical faculties, not to mention one's fancy. More a user's--or abuser's, for that matter--manual than a simple consumer guide. Critique, not commercials, and I'll get to music and books soon enough ...
