Well, I'm an Australian who is currently living in London and have been for the last 2.5 years. Before that, I lived in Ireland for two years. You'll be pleased to know that as a result of these northen hemispherical lodgings, I have changed completely. I now crave heating in winter and I'm starting to feel that feeling cold at Christmas is not an aberration of nature, after all. I no longer have a tan (just call me Casper), and - God help me - I've even been known to sip warm British bitter at times (urgh!).
However, you can the boy out of Australia, but you can't take Australia out of the boy. I STILL crave hot days with a convenient pool to escape from them, and I'd give half of my manhood (then again, maybe not) to experience a REAL storm. For those of you that live in warm climates, maybe you can empathise with this - there's nothing like watching a storm from a balcony or patio after a hot day at the beach. Right, I'm booking my ticket now....
