I tend to be the kind of person who tells it like it is (so they say) so I hope I do not offend anyone... I call them like I see them and I figure anyone who publishes their opinions on the internet should be ready for critique. (hence the pic of Dr. Phil) As a writer, I expect the same from you all.

I may not write lengthy reviews like some of my friends here, but I love to share my opinion. I don't so much mind having "SH" ratings because I write more for myself as a form of therapy than for consumers and I understand that the point of this site is to keep the good opinions away from the ones like I write. I hope you don't mind if I use this site as a sounding board... I know I am not the only one. If the site ever goes back to some sort of pay policy, I may pay more attention to what I write. But since I never knew of epinions when it was "pay per review" I will start out as my own smart @ss self and go from there.

If ever I do offend someone, please feel free to email me. I don't check it often, but I will get back to you...

I think I rate fairly...

"NH" - anyone who is crude or outright offensive... reviews that are repeated or plagiarized and things with absolutely no substance whatsoever...

"SH" - reviews that could have a point, if the writer would just get to it...vague, loose-minded opinions... very short reviews with little substance

"H" - reviews that are decent in length and have a good amount of information, but are lacking a certain something that would make it so much better... reviews written with good effort

"VH" - great reviews that cover everything and don't leave me with questions... reviews that stand out in my mind and make me think

"MH" - you probably won't see many of these from me...if I leave the review clapping out loud or teary eyed, then I may "MH" it...I give a lot of weight to the word "Most" and in order to win my vote for that, I have to have read all of the other reviews, or it just has to be so good that no one could ever top it EVER!!!

one quick note - to those of you who rate with a hidden mark - not everyone retaliates against critcal readers - show who you are - I will take it with a grain of salt - you should be able to stand behind your word and opinion otherwise you are a coward
