I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband and our dog. And yes, it rains a lot. But that's what makes this area so incredibly beautiful.
Most of my free time is spent in the mountains with my backpack and camera in tow. Since that doesn't pay the bills, I spent my not-so-free time as an engineer in a little cubicle that's eerily reminiscent of a Dilbert cartoon. But I don't mind - it means I have a rather interesting view of the world, both from the cold and calculating eyes of an engineer as well as from the more artistic eyes of a photographer.
Besides the great outdoors, my other primary interest is dogs. Real working dogs (the bigger the better!), mind you, not dogs traveling to the store in someone's purse. In my opinion, there are few things better than watching a dog perform a job that it was bred to do. Maybe it's just a fascination with watching a creature fulfill its greater purpose - and have a great time in the process!
