My activities are somewhat limited due to a neurological disease called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy brought on by a fall in a local department store 11 years ago. (If anyone is interested in learning about this disease feel free to e-mail me). 6 years ago I reluctantly had to start using a wheelchair because the disease had spread so rapidly. My only real link to the outside world is my computer and I've met some really wonderful people both with the same disease and others through other sites. If it wasn't for my faith in God I don't know if I could have kept the faith to keep going. I also have a wonderful husband of almost 27 years, a married daughter and 4 yr. old grandson, and a great 22 year old son still at home and has been so very helpful and has had to do many things for me that most young men would be reluctant to do for their moms. So, regardless of the disease I have so much to be thankful for and I made up my mind a long time ago that I would not allow this disease to control my life and I would be a survivor and not just a sufferer!!!
