About me: I am a self-employed fun-loving woman from the rural midwest, just recently having moved to Arizona, enjoying the warmth and pace here, very much. I like animals, cooking, reading, and spending time spoiling my first grandchild, eagerly looking forward to the arrival of the second in a couple months. Writing Reviews: I do not write about things I do not know or understand. I will sometimes find a way to use or get an item, so that I can write about it, with a review that includes some personal experience. You can mostly find me in the Home and Garden, Books and Movies, Family, Household Items, Groceries, and Health and Beauty Products, as well as writing and reading personal opinions about Epinion advice and technique, Family Advice and Information, Electronics and Computers, and some others.
Rating Reviews of Others: When I read a review of a product or an essay, I read it as a person who has only maybe heard of the product, but has not ever used it. I would like to know as much as possible to make an informed decision - shall I buy it? Is it reliable? How much does it cost? Is the maintenance going to be a real problem?

Helpful.... If one or two questions are answered
Somewhat Helpful.... If the article does not answer any questions, but does not contain any negatives.
Not Helpful.... If the article is plagiarized, vulgar, does not make sense, or slanderous.
I do NOT dole out VH ratings arbitrarily, nor do I rate NH in revenge. The ratings actually have little to do with how I might "feel" about the person - but rather, did "this particular" opinion meet the criteria as a thorough and concise review, easy to understand and follow, and were my basic questions answered?

I think it is a great honor to be trusted, and I do not take it lightly. If I am put on your Web of Trust, I will visit your site, try to read all your reviews and essays, and leave as many comments as possible.
I do not put someone on my Web of Trust "just because" they might put me on theirs. But I will honor the respect that I have been given by your trust, and will work very hard not to abuse it, or defile it.
Leaving comments on your pages: I do try to write a comment on almost every site that I review, no matter what my rating of that review might be. Getting Around Epinions: There are many essays written on making the most of Epinions, and I hope that you will try to read as many as possible. They each contain some important part, and by reading lots of reviews, you can put together your own methods of making your time here successful.
My own technique is to try to visit the people who trust me, and read any new things that they are posting, adding comments whenever possible. I also see who has visited their sites, and who has added comments to the pages. Often I will make a point to get to one of those pages, if it is a name I have never seen before, or a comment that touches me somehow.
It is good to periodically review the "new" opinions as they come in, you might see a topic discussed that could lead you to writing one of your own, and it also gives you a chance to see who else is on the site. Visiting and reading some reviews, even if the topic might not "grab you" is good, as it gets your name out there, and opens up your circle of acquaintances. ALWAYS rate every opinion that you read, even if you don't leave a comment.
It would be wonderful if we could keep up with every single review and essay written, but I think we all know that is not possible. At the very least, read the comments on your pages, and hopefully respond or visit the sites of the people who have written comments to you.
Beyond that, keep aware of the people who trust you, and whom you are trusting - try to read the things they are writing about, if possible - maybe checking on a certain number of names each time, moving down your lists (as the lists get longer and longer).
