I don't know where I'm going but I sure know where I've been!
I joined Epinions in 2000 but didn't get serious about writing and rating until January 2005. In that time, I have gone from a lost puppy to a Top Reviewer, Advisor, Message Boards Moderator and, as of March 2007, Co-Category Lead in Online Services. I just left as Lead (March, 2009) due to personal reasons but I loved every minute of it.
I have experienced all the ups and downs that every member experiences and I have decided that the ups far outweigh the downs. I truly enjoy writing and reading reviews and I hope to inspire newer members to "get the Epinions bug".
I have been a writer forever. I have been published in many women's magazines, was the Executive Editor of WCW (World Championship Wrestling) Magazine, RollerJam Magazine, wrote for all the major wrestling mags, and went on to write for major websites both about wrestling and general topics which I continue to do.
Right now, I concentrate on review writing, research, and a lot of unseen back end website work for a few sites.. I'm still involved in wrestling with PowerSlam magazine in the UK (It's a long distance relationship!) and a few other ventures but time is so limited these days that I can't do as much as I would like in that area any longer. I am a sometime Researcher for ChaCha and kgb which I find challenging and often amusing.
I love to shop - especially online - and I love to stay current and trendy (even though I am older than the hills). I try to review everything with an open mind and with the information I feel will help consumers make an informed decision about whether to buy a product or use a service. I rate the same way I write. I look for how helpful a review is to the average consumer. This is fairly easy for me because I AM an average consumer and I use Epinions' reviews to help me make decisions. I do not rate the person writing the review. I rate the review's helpfulness. If I rate your review and you want to know why I rated as I did, check your comments. If the rating is less than Helpful, I usually leave a comment. If not, shoot me an email and ask me! I am always open to dialogue from anyone and, more than anything, want to help people who truly want to be here to improve and feel at home. Trust me, I know how it feels to be lost around here. I guarantee you that you will feel like one of the gang if you hang in there and communicate with other members.

I'm a night owl so, if you see a letter coming to you at 4 a.m., don't be shocked. I do my best work when everyone else is asleep!
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out! If not to me, to any member you think will help you out. We're really a nice bunch for the most part and we want to see members succeed. If it wasn't for some super helpful members, I may not have hung in there and found a virtual home away from home here. I'm not sure where I'm going from here but I sure know where I've been … and it's been a wild roller coaster of a ride that I wouldn't change for the world!
