The Long Biography. Scary!
I love Epinions. Not for the money, really. (Anyway, I've always thought of Epinions as slightly uneconomical, because it costs you more to buy the product than the money you get paid to review it!) Anyway, economical or not, I love this site. I guess you'd say I'm more of a talker than a listener -- you can prove this by observing me for a day. I don't read many Epinions -- mostly I write them. I remember I almost went crazy when they were remodeling the site, and I couldn't post Epinions for about two weeks. Nuts! Anyway, I consider myself more of a Beauty/Skincare reviewer, though I do dabble into Restaurants, Hotels, Electronics, Cars, Vacations, etcetera. Recently I've gotten into writing Advice Epinions, such as "How to Choose a Lipstick", etc. It's fun to sound like you know a lot.

I love having my opinions rated as "Very Helpful". So do a good thing for someone else, and open up one of my opinions, and give it a dazzling rating. That is your good deed for the day. Merci beaucoup.
Pet Peeves
I hate, hate, hate the Epinions users who scope out Newbies, and add them to their Web of Trust, trying to get the Newbies to trust them back. How rude. Please, that is scandalous. Only trust somebody if you really do trust them --not simply because you want them to trust you back. If you add me to your Web of Trust, I will consider trusting you, but I won't guarantee it. I only trust members who I actually respect.
And one more thing...
Check out my opinions. You might like them. Or even love them. Or praise them so much that you are down on your knees begging for my holy autograph...
Bio Update - 2/18/02
Has it been a year now? Am I really a year-old member? Boy. how bittersweet. Sweet because I've racked up all of fifty dollars. Bitter because I still haven't wormed my way into the upper crust of epinions society. You know what I mean -- I'm not a top reviewer -- YET!
Maybe one reason for it is that I'm "playing the field" more these days. I've swayed from my days of being deadset on beauty reviews. Now I mix and mingle more. I must say-- it's fun! I cover books, music, hotels, destinations, cars, places, toys, games, food, advice...oh, it's excellent!
I hope you check out some of what I've got and tell me what you think. Any potential around here? Or drop me a line and introduce yourself. I love meeting new Epinionaters!
