I've grown much more serious in the past few years, with my work all being done sitting in front of the computer monitor, and my paintbrushes growing brittle with neglect. I guess I have officially become an adult at 31, married 5 years, with a precious two-year-old son. But I have really missed out on connecting with people and sharing ideas the way I used to do when I stood behind a coffee shop counter in my college days. I see an urgent need for me to take things less seriously, especially myself, otherwise I may end up with one of those faces that you see out there-all pucker-y and sour. I also see life progressing way too fast and I joke around to my husband that we are going to join some kind of commune before the rush of life takes us all to an early grave. As long as he could bring his Star Wars collectibles, I think he may even be able to handle it!
