I was raised in Scotland, where I no doubt gained the sensibility for thriftiness that I think I now have, even though it didn't surface until recently. I met my wife on a Sierra Club backpacking trip in Yosemite in 1986. John Muir, founder of the Sierra Club, was another Scot and the Sierra Club has been going down hill ever since he died. I love the outdoors, hiking, backpacking and rock climbing, but I'm also a bit of a geek, interested in electronics and writing computer software. I hate being screwed and (so) I think Epinions is a great idea. Why didn't I think of it??? I don't think it's worth writing a review of Yosemite even though there is so much I could say. Many of these categories are just too subjective. For (objective) reviews of goods and services though, this is a terrific idea.
