Work

I own a small computer consulting business and work full-time as a software engineer at a small but up-and-coming software tools company.

Distractions

In August 2001, I found out I like horses. For my last two semesters of college, I competed on my university's Equestrian Team and took sixth place at the regional competition--not bad for a guy who had never ridden before, eh?

I occasionally like to play computer games; my most recent favorites are Halo, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, and Rise of Nations.

I'm always tinkering around with my own computers, so I've obtained a huge amount of troubleshooting experience at home that has been applicable at work.

I try to keep my game computer well behind the technology curve. I used to try to keep up with all the latest and greatest stuff, but that was just way too expensive. Now I even try to buy computer games that are $20 or less.
