Thank god for midlife crises, because mine got me out of the cold north, and down to Tampa. Hmmm ...it also got me out of being an accountant and a manager to being a free-lance writer and consultant. I don't have much money anymore, but at least I don't have to buy winter coats and boots!
50-ish, mother to two well past the age of puberty, I've finally got enough time in my life to read like there's no tomorrow and write poetry when I feel the urge. Now, if football season just lasted year round and chocolate was still in my diet, it'd be heaven on earth! Life's good...
