I was born in the Bronx, and am a mildly involved Yankees fan. I grew up in Westchester County and went off to Carnegie-Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, and got an engineering and history degree. I married my high school summer sweetheart right after we each graduated from college, a bit more than 30 years ago. It was then off to graduate school -- Harvard for me and Brandeis for her. I started my 1st job when I finished at Harvard, and our first daughter was born 2 years later, about the same time we bought our first house.
After another 2 years, I started a new job which sent our family to the Netherlands for 15 months.
Now, it's 23 years after returning from our stint in Europe. We're on our 3rd house, and have had 3 kids, all of whom have grown and left home. I've changed jobs a number of times, culminating in founding my own company in 1991. I took on first one, and then another partner, and the three of us sold our company to a giant in our field in 2002. My wife teaches at the local community college and writes novels on the side. Her first book was published last year, and her second is due out very soon (late 2003).
