So many companies out there just plain lie about thier products. Time after time I pull something out of the box (including software) and it is just not what it says or you have to buy "special" addons to make it all it can be. Finally I chanced upon this website which lets people talk about the products as they *are*.
Anyway, what gives me the right to critique things? Well on a lot of things, not much. But when it comes to computers, electronics (of almost any kind) and just about anything technical... well i have a little experience. With electronics i am a tinkerer and a hobbyist particularly with scanners, ham equipment, stereo equipment and a host of other stuff. Computers are my professional specialty. I have programmed them in many applications for several companies and individuals. Earlier in my career, while in college, I was a repair person for an IBM dealer (when it was actually more cost effective to fix the things than chunk them and buy new).
As far as hobbies I love motorcycles of all kinds and bicycling. I am an avid gamer from way back (how's asteroids for an indicator) and I love most genres of games. I also love history and politics... not that anyone really cares about that.
