The Bottom Line This is a great site... if you like to write then this is a great place to do it!
I joined this site about a month ago. When I came on board with all of you, I was not sure what to expect! However, with the time that has passed, I have found this to be an outstanding forum for thinkers, writers, techno junkies, and everyone in between. I feel right at home here!
Never having written in a setting that would allow my work to be seen by others, I was a bit taken aback by the quick response that I saw on what was being submitted. I was worried that my work would not be well received by those whom had been on for a longer period of time. That was not the case... I was made to feel welcome, and indeed even encouraged.
I would like to thank all of you who have taken the time to read what I have written, and for those of you who even went a step beyond and rated my work before you left! I would also like to thank a small handful of you who I keep seeing on my ratings list for different things that I have written... I am happy to see those names crop up, and I am glad you like what I write. Thanks to you all!
One last thought that I would like to share... I see that there are some negative comments about this site, but it is beyond me why. I can find not fault with what happens here, as the good writers keep writing, and the select few morons are weeded out. It is sort of a Darwinism that occurs here, and I am not worried that it will get out of hand. As long as we all play by the rules then there should be no problems... right? As for the money that we make, well, I am not worried about that at all. I would write for free, and I feel certain that so would a great many of you out there. If the site turned off the money, I would still be here day after day, looking and reading, and writing! So for any of those that might take offense at a rate change, I would recommend that you get a job, and not worry about a the few cents that you might make here.

Update 09-22-2004 Having gone back to this one... I see that very little has changed, and I still like the hell out of writing and reading whats on this site... Anyone who reads this should not even rate it, as it has little to do with anything... more like a "Thanks all over the place" for having a site like Epinions... Keep on writing...
