EPINIONS' 10 HOTTEST WOMEN...Jul 01 '00 Write an essay on this topic.I posted the following review a couple days ago and removed it from Epinions after it seemed to cause a firestorm of comments both good and bad. I removed the (Highly Recommended) review not because of negative comments, but because of the volume of comments in general (mostly in email format). I was going to be away from the site for an extended period and I didn't want the frenzy to get out of control. That is, I wanted to be able to respond to potential detractors. The review was (and is) intended to provide light-hearted unconventional insight into our favorite site. Please read it with that in mind. Having said that... We must all be careful that we don't start writing reviews that are carefully crafted to avoid any possible disagreement from readers. We are here to write our opinions! Thus you'd expect people to occasionally get offended and certainly disagree from time to time. As an American, I strongly value my right to freely express my opinions regardless of what others may believe or say. Is this review offensive? To some perhaps, but if every review we wrote was agreeable to all users, Epinions wouldn't really have a purpose. I know if I were the proprietor of Treeloot.com, I'd be pretty upset with some of the reviews written about my site. Is this review degrading or sexist? I don't think so. If people don't want others to comment on their pictures, don't post them. If you are afraid of what someone might write about your "Interests" or "About Me" information, don't give any. If you don't want people to email you, don't post an email address. Sexist? Well maybe slightly. I, being a man am attracted to women. But just to be fair, my next review will be "Epinions' 10 Hottest Men" (feel free to send me potential candidates). The following is the unedited review as previously posted: I've spent nearly a year cruising Epinions.com and I've read and rated thousands of reviews. During all this though, I was also noticing how many of the women on Epinions are so very attractive. Below is a list of the 10 "hottest" women on Epinions.com as judged by me. In order to be considered, potential candidates had to score well in a few different areas: 1. The Picture - Visual appearance was the most important attribute in my informal study. 2. The Reviews - Candidates should be actively writing and have quality reviews. 3. The Description - List members tend to have interesting self descriptions. Note: While mothers were considered, all users who's pictures featured themselves with their children or husbands, were immediately disqualified from consideration (sorry SAHMs). Any admitted jailbait was also excluded from consideration. Winners were not notified in advance and had no knowledge of this review before it's posting. My apologies if anyone is made to feel uncomfortable by appearing on it. 10. Sex_Porn_Girl - Whoa! What a user name. She has probably the single best looking photo up on her page. Unfortunately, while the picture and description are very interesting, they are not real. That is, I can't honestly believe she works as a school teacher by day and porn star by night. She's also only written a few reviews, so she deserves no better than 10th on the list. 9. sobieral - As a 23 year old blonde haired college student with a great picture, sobieral has a lot going for her. Her reviews are great and plentiful. However, the consistency of postings is not as good as some others and the link to her homepage was broken when I tried it. 8. AandZ - A beautiful SAHM, AandZ could have ranked higher with more regular review postings. Her opinions however, are of top notch quality and should be read by any Epinions novice or expert. 7. urwiller - Dozens of very good reviews and a cute picture helped her get on the list. She's a wiz with html and at only 24 years old, urwiller is a great addition to the Epinions community. As a county music hater, she scored some bonus points too. 6. jazzmine - Wow! Based on looks and description alone, Jazzmine should be ranked higher, but her low number of reviews and inconsistent posting, leaves something to be desired. Her history as a swimsuit model and cocktail waitress helped her get to number 6. 5. madyl - Certainly one of the hottest moms on the site. Madyl's great reviews have earned her expert and most trusted member status in the "Education" category. While the pictures on her website could be more alluring, madyl's involvement in the Epinions community must be taken into account. 4. jennifernorth - A truly intelligent woman jennifernorth has a terrific picture and plenty of well written reviews that will make you think. Anyone who likes smutty novels also scored pretty well on this review. 3. girlfriday1 - This cute Canadian SAHM has dozens of very high quality reviews and a very nice picture of herself up on her page. Be sure to check her out. As an active reader and rater, she's the ideal Epinions member. 2. krissieliz - The picture of her with her dog is attractive but not even close to the amazing shots she has on her webpage. Be sure to chek out her highschool graduation pic! As a college student, she received bonus points in my survey. Her quality reviews and lengthy list of members who trust her also helped her reach 2nd place. And the winner is...... 1. i_culookn - The whole package! This natural blue eyed blonde is a true knockout! As both a college student and fantastic writer, i_culookn seems to have the men of Epinions wrapped around her finger. She also seems to rate every review written, and has an amazing 700+ members trusting her. Not to mention she's single! Be sure to check out the amazing pictures of her and her friends on her web page too! Congratulations to everyone on the list, you have much to be proud of. Let me hear you comments on this one.
