One Bad Apple Can Spoil The Whole Bunch

To all the new members of Epinions, I implore you please read the terms of service agreement before you post your first review. This is commonly called the TOS on this forum.
I have found if you do not go over this with a fine tooth comb some so called experts will tear you to shreads in the comments section of your review. These people would rather humiliate you, report you to both Epinions and Neighborhood Watch, and then run over to one of the Yahoo Epinions message boards to talk about what a horrible person you are.
Don't get me wrong 96 percent of the experts at Epinions deserve to be experts. They write brilliantly,leave constructive comments for both new and older members, and rate fairly in their own categories.BUT....
Some experts got their hits by participating in reading circles when they first hit the Epinions scene. Some experts got their Web Of Trust sky high by trusting everyone then promptly deleting their list after they were trusted in return. Some experts moan about other members lurking in the Just In section when they themselves are the biggest offenders.
Everyone makes mistakes. You have not commited murder by placing a referral link in your review(no,no) or placing your review in the wrong category(nit pick). We have been given a delete button to correct any errors-this is not the end of the world.
The people who should be ashamed of themselves are the ones who would jump a member in their comments section. Some experts have abused newer members over and over.They do this because they can get away with it. Why would you feel you have a right to humiliate a person? Why could you not just privately email them with your concerns?
Time and time again it comes down to the same people dishing out abuse. Is this not a violation of the TOS? Hey, Epinions staff if its not it should be. Want examples? I got the links to all the nasty comments saved to favorites. The fact is members of this site are being driven off by certain bullies. I personally am sick and tired of this behavior.
Read your TOS. Save yourself the humiliation.
