Epinion's WEB OF TRUST is a great idea, and essential to any serious review writer. With the WOT, epinions becomes more interesting, and you can easly weed out the best reviews to read through your WOT.

My name is Jamie. I have been writing epinions for nearly two months now, and the exitement of coming home and reading comments on my reviews is still as strong as the first day. Usually, with me, I get bored after a few weeks of doing something, as it will become boring and monotinus. Without the WOT, I guess writing reviews would also get boring, as would fishing through the hundreds of members to find good reviews to read. Thanks to the WOT, I can now click on a trusted person, and read their fantastic new review.

I will trust a person if their reviews are good. Simple as that. If I read a person's review, and it sounds interesting, I will go to their home page and read a few more. If I like what I see, they are on my list. The way I usually find people's reviews to read is to click on their name via their ID on MY reviews, or I click on someone's name that I see on a few of my trusted people's TRUST list. Sometimes I go to a category, and find people through there, and lastly, I will always look seriously at people who trust me. I think its only fair and polite to give them the same curtousy they give me.

Currently, I have only 24 people that I trust, and I am finding that this takes up most of my time in epinions! I work full time, so I only get about an hour a day to look at epinions. I will always check for new reviews from my trusted members (I try to always place my trusted members on my 'new review alert' list). I tell you, if a few people have written reviews, that's it for me! When I have finished rating their reviews, I often don't have enough time to write a review of my own. I dunno how some people cope with having HUNDREDS of people on their WOT, I would go crazy! If this happens to me, I will have to quit my job, so I can rate everyone :)

Think carefully before placing people on your WOT. I mean, we are not playing for sheep stations here, it's all in good fun! Use your WOT to maximise your enjoyment from epinions, not as a tool for getting more hits. You will find that if your WOT has quality reviewers, you will continue to enjoy epinions for a long time. I hope all the people on my WOT, both trusted and who trust me read this, and to these people....thank you for making my time here enjoyable. Keep up the great work, I love reading your reviews.
