EPINIONS' 10 UGLIEST WOMEN...Jul 02 '00 Write an essay on this topic.As far as women go, the 10 users listed below are positively hideous. Their unfeminine appearance and residual facial hair has me wondering.... Oh wait, these are men. In an attempt to remain non gender biased (see my previous review), I've created this list of the 10 most attractive men on Epinions as judged by me using the criteria below. I've taken several people's recommendations as well as my own observations and created this light-hearted look at some of our favorite site's more appealing users. I am aware that the pictures posted may or may not be the reviewers themselves. I also realize some of you will find this type of review objectionable or even offensive. Opinions are often by nature, divisive. My intent here is not to be controversial but simply to highlight some (under-appreciated) great writers who have great pictures. Don't worry, admitting you enjoyed this review will not make you a bad person. In order to be considered, potential candidates had to score well in a few different areas (as with the women, the men were not judged on appearance alone): 1. The Picture - Visual appearance was the most important attribute in my informal study. 2. The Reviews - Candidates should be actively writing and have quality reviews. 3. The Description - List members tend to have interesting self descriptions. Note: While fathers were considered, all users who's pictures featured themselves with their children or wives, were immediately disqualified from consideration (sorry SAHFs). Any admitted jailbait was also excluded from consideration. 10. 29th_candidate - A great looking guy if you like the young hungry political type. While 29th_candidate could have more reviews, he was given special consideration since he's running for a U.S House of Representatives seat from California. An admirable and well dressed fellow. 9. ptiemann - A decent (though black and white) and possibly dated photo graces the page of this good looking guy who must be commended for his efforts to further the site. His contributions and popularity are overwhelming. As a computer programmer who likes Judo he has thousands of members who trust him! 8. spoalanm - This handsome Keith Olberman look alike (ESPN Sportscaster) has a delightful picture of himself and a puppy up on his page. Who can resist puppies? While he's written hundreds of quality reviews, they appear to be drastically under appreciated. Did I mention he like football too? What could be better? 7. jrs - Since he's an expert and a featured reviewer I'm sure you're familiar with jrs' picture. He scores extra points for being a volleyball player and having a healthy list of members trusting him. His reviews reveal his intelligence in addition to his charming good looks. 6. etrustman - Wow, a great photo - tall, dark, and handsome! A relative new comer to Epinions, etrustman is working on amassing many first rate reviews (his reads per review are remarkable). His profile page description puts him on the geeky side of the male spectrum. So if you like 'em a bit nerdy, etrustman's you man. 5. kornell_911 - With a picture like this one he could have easily been placed higher on the list. His reviews, while plentiful and very well written are becoming somewhat infrequently posted. Perhaps it's his employment at Themestrem.com that limits his free time. 4. Scorsesian - Besides his great looking picture (a smile would be nice though), Scorsesian is one of the Experts we call all agree is deserving of his title. The attention to detail in his movie reviews is quite stunning. A first rate specimen. 3. jasonkirk - A terrific photo! Jasonkirk has written dozens of superior reviews. Many on alternative lifestyles. He's earned expert status and is working on a degree from Stanford University. A reviewer with a sense of humor and a great smile. 2. MegaSoul - A fantastic photo. As a Ian Ziering (Steve from 90210) look alike, MegaSoul has an impressive body of under visited reviews. Ladies, he's even admitted to using Epinions as a forum for finding feminine companionship (and I do believe he's single). Be sure to check this one out. And the winner is...... 1. skadar - His god-like pose reminds me of the downward glances on romance novel covers (from the woman's perspective). He confesses to be an internet professional with an environmental past. His reviews have earned him expert status though his reviews are also under appreciated by other members. Be sure to stop by his page and take a gander. Congratulations to everyone on the list, you have much to be proud of. Let me hear you comments on this one.
