The Method to My Madness (How I rate epinons)

How much I agree with an issue or a product has NO bearing on how I'll rate the epinions. I know this sounds odd. The ONLY criteria I look at is how well the author makes his/her point.
Not-Recommended:
In order to get one of these from me, the epinion is one of two things. The first thing it could be is a blatant advertisement for AllAdvantage, MyPoints, Gotoworld or similar program. One with a 'please sign up using this number' line. That will get an NR from me regardless. The second reason you will see an NR from me is if the epinion is COMPLETELY off subject or useless. Meaning it's a ploy simply to get people to view the epinion so the author makes money. If the author has made ANY attempt to review the product listed, it won't fall into this category.
Somewhat Recommended:
This rating goes out to authors that make an attempt to stay on the subject, but don't really provide any objective information on the product.
Recommended:
This is my default rating believe it or not! This is given to authors that write epinions that provide information (both subjective and objective) on the subject. This is the rating I give to honest opinions on epinions subjects. Whether or not the author likes or dislikes has no bearing. But to get a recommended, tell me WHY you like or dislike.
Highly Recommended:
These are kind hard to get from me. In my opinion, these are the opinons that are the cream of the crop. Coherent, easy to read, entertaining epinions that REALLY make their point. Again, I don't care if you are a Satan Worshipper endorsing human child sacrifice. You're entitled to your opinion, and if I don't agree with it, I'll write a counter-opinion. But if you make your point well, and clearly state a well-thought argument, you'll earn a Highly Recommended!
I figured I'd write these down, because I've had a few emails lately asking my why I rate the way I do. Mostly due to the fact that I will write an opinion and slam a product I think will cause trouble for a potential buyer, and then turn right around and Highly Recommend an epinion whose author just can't sing the praises high enough for the same product. When I rate, I don't care whether or not I agree with what is written. I look at HOW it's written and how the author communicates his/her position.
