About my web-sites

My experience here at epinions:
Since joining epinions on October 30, 2001 I have been increasingly impressed with the sense of community among members. Writing reviews is fun and challenging, and it is very gratifying to have others read, rate and comment on your efforts. I try to reciprocate reads as often as possible.
About me:
My own interests include reading, long walks, traveling, good food and wine, enjoying the company of friends and family and meeting new and inspiring people. And I love sunshine, any large body of salt water, and deep, clean rivers. I got plenty of these things while doing research in the Caribbean.
I am a part-time college instructor, and until recently, I was working on my doctorate in social anthropology. Financial and time constraints have led me to put the Ph.D. on hold for now, but I still enjoy writing, reading and learning.
Thank you all for your time and reading my reviews. I especially like comments, and try to respond personally to each one, but time constraints (again) sometimes make that difficult.
