About Riken

Operations Director for a construction company. Title means nothing. I'm out in the field every day, actually working. I love it! I have a degree in political science, one year of law school. Like construction much better than sitting behind a desk, plus you still have to think. Wife is a 2nd grade elementary school teacher, pets are a parakeet named bird and a scorpion named bug. I lead the pretty much "normal" midwestern life. Work 6-7 days a week, then home to wife, kids and a cold brew. Kind of pedestrian actually. I love to hunt. Don't really care much for fishing.
I have 5 kids which is somewhat unusual these days. Ages 9 yrs to 8 mos. (As of 12/00.) No more! Never planned a family this big. By the time we found out what caused it, it was too late. It hasn't been dull that's for sure.
I only write opinions on products I deal with or have in the past. I am rarely neutral about anything. It either performs, or it doesn't. I hope if you read anything I review, you can be pretty much assured that I have put it through it's paces. I will tell it like I see it. I am not out to win a Pulitzer prize, or impress anyone with my writing style. I will write in plain, everyday language. No flowery, Ivy league vernacular, or over worded reviews here.
