About robertsloan2

Wow. Trying to sum up my life in fifteen words was hard. I'm a novelist. I'm garrulous. I was born in the Outer Limits of the Twilight Zone and I write science fiction because I write from life. I've traveled and lived in all the major regions of the United States. With a congenital disability, I managed to get along working around it until I moved to suburban New York where my marginal crafts and art sales didn't support the local rents, then I applied for Social Security. The photo with this Profile represents two of my hobbies, costume and photography with my QuickCam Express. It's virtual costume, with lighting I wound up playing Phantom of the Opera! I have lived in and experienced most of the social and economic classes in this country, including extreme wealth by proxy and hanging out with wealthy friends. I live a law abiding life for personal reasons. I have also belonged to numerous subcultures and groups including Society for Creative Anachronism, New Age paganism, SF fandom, online communities and I'm fond of roleplaying games.
I haven't said anything chronological because a lot of it's very personal information. I will eventually publish an autobiography but I'm not even beginning that project until that book has the happy ending that I became a success in my chosen career. I now write well and I'm patient as a rock. That chapter will come and the biography with my long strange journey will be an interesting book. You wouldn't believe it if I didn't put in all the details and this space won't allow that.
