About Rocketgirl
I have a full time job as a technical writer. It pays the bills, but gets boring. I am now working at broadening my freelance opportunities. Most of my freelance experience has been writing historical and travel articles. I am a contributing writer for HistoryLink.org, a website about Washington State history designed for educators. My first book, "It Happened in Nevada," has been published by Globe-Pequot/Falcon Publishing and is available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Borders, etc. My second book "Outlaw Tales of Washington" was published in November of 2001. In 2002, I published "Images of America: Richland, Washington," and "Images of America: Yakima, Washington." In 2004, I published "Images of America: Walla Walla, Washington." In 2007, I published "Images of America: Grant County." I would also enjoy writing about nature and the environment, but probably need to broaden my own education a bit, though I did take several courses on geology, botany, and conservation while completing my BA at WSU.
