About roxsax
I am a 38-year old homemaker who quit my job to stay home and raise our kids two years ago (I used to be a Yardmaster for Canadian National Railroad).

We live on a farm and are trying to learn how to raise our own farm animals well and get a decent garden going. I love to read and write but seldom have enough time as the kids are at "that age" right now. I do most of my opinions late at night while waiting for the little one to settle in. I don't want my kids to grow up too fast, but right now my favorite daydream is of when they will both go to bed when we do and will mind enough to let us rest the eyes in the backs of our heads.

Quilting is on hold until they stop grabbing and climbing and spilling and spitting and...

I am halfway through a degree in CIS (quit school to have baby) but I don't feel I am a "natural" in that field. What I really like to do is write and dream of making a living as a freelance writer who submits articles to magazines...or maybe I could get a syndicated column...

I'll probably end up being an accountant, though, if I go back to school (I seemed to have the knack for it). I need to make enough money so my husband can quit his job (he's a machine operator for the railroad--we worked together 10 years in the track maintenance department before we were married--by a co-worker, on the tracks) and be a house dad before he gets too broken down by the hard labor.
