I'm about to turn 40 - yikes?? Heck no - my friend teased me about it - she said "Now you're on the way downhill!" I said absolutely not. Forty means you are standing on top of it waving your flag!
My big life decision has been to stop taking crap from anyone. I don't put up with rude sales clerks, obnoxious telephone solicitors, government red tape, doctors who make you wait three hours in the waiting room, insurance companies who refuse to pay, lawyers who don't do their jobs, lazy landlords, or anyone who is seriously lacking in manners. Why should I? I don't treat THEM that way. Give respect, and demand it in return.
If you want to know the "personal" stuff, well, you won't find it here. I like my privacy and intend to hang onto it.
I'll give the generic version though -
My friends will tell you that people see me as intimidating. (That always makes me laugh)
My parents are fantastic people.
I'm a middle child. I have two great sisters.
I love dogs - they are the best friends one can have.
I despise Corporate America and media hype. I hate liars.
I can write letters that drip with honey and bite like a snake. I get results.
I write poetry, drink black coffee, don't have a favorite color, love to bake, grow flowers, and geneaology is my big passion right now.
I adore music - many, many different kinds. I love to hear people sing. The human voice, when blessed with the talent for singing, is the most amazing sound in the world to me.
If I could change my face, I wouldn't.
