I've revised my profile yet again (like you'd be reading it at all if not for some conspiracy perpetuated by the Epinions system, sending you here when you clicked on "Make Four Million Dollars By Next Thursday" or some such thing). For the abridged version or lovers of boredom punishment, see my slideshow below. Aside from the undeserved, nearly decade long, faithful love of my towering husband, Jason, I benefit daily from the joyful laughter and bountiful hugs and kisses of my little blond tyrant, Dominic. Of course, he would be polite if he met you, because he doesn't know you. He wouldn't scream in your ear or reward your genuine smile with a headbutt or run head-on into your stomach, because you're a perfect stranger to him. I'm equally fortunate to claim as my own two delightfully weird and completely moral parents, who have modeled marriage as it should be before my eyes for my almost 29 years (and they're celebrating their 30th year of pain and bliss this June). Two younger brothers, a soon to be sister-in-law, one very wise grandfather and about 150 more relatives round out my abundant blessings of the loved ones sort, along with the passel of friends God's seen fit to send my way. Truly, I am blessed.
Some time ago, I was desperate for cash and got onto Epinions for that singular reason. After a few substandard reviews and a couple decent ones, I disappeared for a few years, but now I'm happy to come back, and I'm a whole new woman on here now. I read a lot of reviews, write a few a week, and try to show myself friendly to others as well as possible. Now that I'm attempting to get a newly finished novel (my first) published, I'm in a whole new zone of writing, and I'm loving it more all the time. It's become my all-time favorite hobby, just above reading and several notches above gardening (although that might change when my plants really get going - they're just babies right now). I don't fancy myself to be especially descriptive or gifted - I'm more of a straight to the point writer - but I do my best with the brain God gave me.
I am also unapologetically a Christian, former preacher's kid and US missionary kid, a fan of just about every genre of music (even recently converted to a few *gasp* country songs, although they have to work 20 times as hard to get me and I love Al Green, Harry Connick Jr., Seal, Alejandro Fernandez, Annie Lennox, "early" Amy Grant and Newsboys, to give you an idea of my range), most genres of movies, and a few genres of books (Janette Oke's romance novels, Frank Peretti's early work, and Tracie Peterson's recent offerings are some of my favorites). I'm a fan of some reality shows, the Food Network and "Friends," have been and could easily be again an addict of pc games (my past favorites have been anything in "The Sims," "The Sims 2," and "Command and Conquer" lines, "The Movies," and a lot of the Tycoon and world simulator games), and have a range of personalities that make my husband sometimes accuse me of having a serious disorder (I frequently lapse into foreign accents, burst into song at random moments, have some really wild mood swings and go through phases of serious immersion into a singular activity or thought, just to name a few symptoms), but I think that's all just a product of my upbringing.
If I rate your review at all, I'm already interested in you, either because of the product you're reviewing or the fact that you've reviewed something of mine. Most recently, I've spent some time at Recent Content as well. I consider myself on the pleasant side of fair with my ratings, whether I agree with your opinion or not. I'm also interested in meeting people from all schools of thought, walks of life, and cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Sometimes, because of my upbringing, I feel like a minority myself, and I'd disown most of the people in my hometown for being close-minded rednecks if given half a chance (which is why I won't mention my hometown here, and I really love cities - Albuquerque, Chicago and Tampa are my favorites). I am a stay-at-home mom, I home pre-school my son, and I spend a lot of time indoors, mostly because I can't (for reasons I won't go into here) drive anywhere outside of my small (less than 600 people) town. So I spend a lot of time on the net, and a lot of time on my newest favorite site, Epinions.
As far as my WOT goes, my highest criteria for putting you on it is something we have in common, as far as tastes go. Even if I don't like or agree with 95% of the things you review, if there are 5% I agree strongly with and you're a well-spoken individual with something constructive to say, you may well find yourself on my WOT. I don't expect any return favors, and I won't promise to dish any out either, although you are more than welcome to email me if you think we share something in common. Please also email me if you want me to check out an updated review I've rated lower than VH and if you want to make a new friend, drop me a line.
Hope you enjoy your Epinions experience, and God Bless!

| You are 5% geek | OK, so maybe you ain't a geek. You do, at least, show a bit of interest in the world around you. Either that, or you have enough of a sense of humor to pick some of the sillier answers on the test. Regardless, you're probably a pretty nifty, well-rounded person who gets along fine with people and can chat with just about anyone without fear of looking stupid or foolish or overly concerned with minutiae.
