My wife is a Math Teacher, and I'm in the military. Our son was born in 2000 and has completely rearranged our priorities (in a good way). Now we have a daughter as well (July 05), so it's back to reviewing kid stuff.
We've lived all over the states and in Europe as well, and we look for quality items that will put up with the abuse of frequent moves and our kid's curiosity. I like stuff that can be repaired and I hate to throw useful stuff away.
I'm also a gadget guy - I own more pocket knives than I can count, and police up all unused electronic devices at my house, my neighbor's house, the houses of my family, extended family, distant reletives, etc...
I HATE to read instruction manuals. If I can't figure it out in a couple of minutes, I'll never use all of its features anyway.
I'll try any sport, but I don't like to spend alot on sports equipment.
I'm a car nut. I fix em, drive em, read about em, fix em some more. My son gets down under the car with me and "helps" me. That stopped when he took a hammer to my fender. Now he has his own plastic tools.
