Aloha! I am was born in California, raised in Oklahoma, lived in Hawaii for four and half years, and now I am growing roots in North Carolina-- ah the life of a military spouse.
I have loved all of the places I've lived but for different reasons and can't wait to travel out of the country when my nest is empty! I am a teacher, (duh), and I currently teach middle school science. I used to teach English, but I don't miss grading all those essays! My husband is a Captain in the Marine Corps and studying to be a preacher.
I spend most of my free time acting as taxi to my daughter or chaperoning her weekends. My son recently got his driver's license - a fact which keeps me on my knees at night. I love to get online when the rest of the family is otherwise engaged. This is my secret little escape.
I love antiques and collect any old thing with a flag on it or any patriotic theme. My husband and I work with singles at our church and moonlight as short order cooks for the neighborhood kids on weekends.
I am a tough but fair rater. I give highly recommended when the content is good, the review is well written, the review stays on topic, and editing has been done. Not recommendeds are reserved for vulgar, extremely brief, and reviews copied from other sources. Everything else will fall in the middle. My pet peeve is single paragraph reviews...I am getting old and can't follow those lines for very long! ;)
