Wife to Jim and Mom to Robert and Michael. Born and raised in beautiful and historic Charleston SC!
Graduated from the College of Charleston in 1996 with a BA in Corporate Communications. However, I learned as much from dropping out of college (after losing a full scholarship) and having to go back again after becoming a wife, a mother, and then unfortunately, a single mother.
I am currently learning to cope with Alopecia Universalis (I have no hair on my entire body) and sharing knowledge about its existence to all who will listen. For more information, please see the National Alopecia Areata Foundation website.
Through AU, I have developed a strength and peace that I did not think I had the potential of finding. I HATE being bald in a superficial world and dealing with many negative people, but I have seen goodness in many others that brings me great joy.
