About seevango

Employment
Van is an employee of a Catholic School in Louisiana, where he is the executive director of its alumni association and school foundation. He (until June) was a freelance journalist for a local newspaper. His series of articles on the area's great athletes was later published in a book.

Education
Van has a degree in Journalism from Northwestern State University in Louisiana, with emphasis in public relations and broadcast journalism. He recently completed a two-year degree in science, and is currently a part time Pre-Med student at a branch of Louisiana State University. Van hopes to get into medical school in the next two years (before he is too old to do anything)

Travels
He has been to 31 of the 50 states, some more than once, and currently hopes to expand that travel experience to the entire Western Hemisphere. He's been scuba diving in Belize, and is working on a trip to the ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru and to the outback in Australia. He'll have to pick one for the summer of 2001. One of his great dreams is to travel from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean on an Amtrak train. He keeps watching the prices for discounts.
