About Shanti

I love adventure and creativity. I grew up in Chicago but at age 19 packed up my car and headed 1,000 miles west to Summit County, Colorado where I dedicated my life to skiing. Now, I think I'd go crazy without the mountains.
I love to express ideas through words and I like to experience new places, particularly the more adventureous ones.
I have a BA in English/Creative Writing and an MA in Somatic Psychology/Dance Therapy, which I think basically means that I've learned something about living an authentic, passionate life and practice it to the best of my ability. (They say practice makes perfect, but I'm just shooting for above average...)
My ID is named after my dog, Shanti, which means "peace." She reminds me to: share the excitement of going "outside," show my love and appreciation toward the people I care about, make lots of noise when I have something to say, thank those that scratch my back, and find a cozy place to hang out everyday.
After a long hiatus, I seem to be back! Forgot how much fun this was!
