My wife, Emily, and I live in Monroe Township NJ and previously taught in Brooklyn and Staten Island (both boroughs of New York City).
Although I am a Graduate Engineer with a Master's Degreee in Business; I becamea professional educator. I last taught Mathematics at IS72, on staten Island. I previously taught Middle School Mathematics and served as the Sixth Grade Dean at IS68, in the Canarsie Section of Brooklyn.
Emily was an Education Major and taught at PS 39, in the South Beach section of Staten Island.
We have two grown children, Eric and Joan. One grandchild and another on the way. We live in a suburban area not far from our native New York.
Our son, Eric, graduated from the College of Staten Island and is a senior accountant, auditor, with the firm of Withum Smith and Brown. He and his wife, Karen, are expecting their first child in November, 2011.
Joan graduated from Wagner College and is teaching Mathematics at New Providence Middle School in New Jersey.
She and her husband, Jan Rykus, gave us our first grandchild in May of 2010. Ethan is a wonderful child.
We live in an active adult community in NJ.
Hobbies & Interests: reading,canasta, travel.
Burt is online most days.
He does all the family's banking and investing on line.
In addition to online activities, the computer is used for family finance, word processing, etc.
Emily, on the other hand, only uses the computer when it is absolutely necessary! But, she does get all of her eMail!
