About skillz
|
My HomepageThe Real Me I'll start with my moniker... -skillz- I'm not using this name because I think I'm some kind of "uber writer". I'm not. I hardly receive any comments on my reviews, which leaves me to think that either people aren't finishing my reviews and just giving me VH's for review length or I'm just not leaving an impression on the reader. Anyway, I use the name -skillz- because one of my brothers-in-law wanted to patent a line of T-shirts with the logo -skillz- (written in tribal). He had me draw up some prototypes for him and the name stuck with me. He never got around to following up with his idea, so it's up for grabs. Think sports. As for my hobbies I'm a movie buff who buys DVD's like they're going out of style. My latest movie fascination is classic musicals. My wife and I have been catching a lot of them lately thanks to our Tivo. I'm also an avid reader of all types of books, from nonfiction history books to fictional horror, drama, and sci-fi stories. I love listening to a wide variety of music and I support online file sharing as often as I can. When I'm not doing any of the above mentioned activities you will find me playing video games either on my computer, my Xbox 360, or my PSP. My favorite types of games are online multiplayer games and first person shooters. You'll find me dominating other online players at The Nexus
How I rate reviews I like to think that I'm a VERY fair review rater. Rating is like a fine recipe to me. A pinch of grammer, a dab of proper spelling, followed up by content, content, content.Even if I don't agree with the review I still rate on content. Personal feelings on review content play no role in rating. Nothing annoys me more than getting a NH rating because someone doesn't agree with a subject that I'm covering in a review. For example: an atheist NH'ing a very good review on a Christian novel or visa versa.
