I'm not the greatest at autobiographies, so I'll just post info that will help you figure out if you like the same kind of things I do. (That'll help you gauge the usefulness of my reviews to you.)
I'm a Christian, a writer, a metalhead, a Romantic, a Southerner, a conservative. Music, like writing, sculpture, or any other art form must both be excellent in form and in content to be worthy. Because of that, I give out few 5 star ratings. I also tend to rate on the low side 'cause I've got to know the artist's lyrical viewpoint as well as the music. No offense, folks!
Genres of music I enjoy: metal [see below], grunge, folk rock, rock-and-roll, country, ambient, experimental, artsy pop, pop/rock, goth, emo, celtic, new wave, industrial, emo, hxc, classical, romantic, baroque, marching band, concert band, alt rock, Southern rock, choral, dance, darkwave, shoegazer, cuddlecore.
Genres of music I loathe: hip-hop, r&b, reggae, nu-metal, Muzak, noise, and poor music in any genre.
Metal deserves a more in-depth analysis.
Enjoy: thrash, commercial, power, doom, gothic, some death, grindcore, doom/death, metalcore.
Loathe: progressive, black, wuss-metal, stoner, chaotic/tuneless/spazcore.
