Thank you, everyone, for your constructive comments on my reviews. Due to my continuing ill-health and other concerns, I am taking myself offline for a while (for a year or so). I had planned to do this - live with my parents and concentrate on life outside the Internet - a little later, but circumstances force me to do this a few months earlier. The recent controversy with a certain author has had nothing to do with this decision, although it certainly did not make me feel better around Christmas. I hope to be back in a year or so, to add more content. With luck, this time off will allow me to finish up my research and writing, revive my flagging health and spirits, and enjoy my family and friends.

Currently, I am reading mostly historical mysteries set in medieval times (mostly Sharan Newman and Roberta Gellis, with some re-reads of Ellis Peters). It is however slow going as I pack up and finish up loads of paperwork. In the past, I have read historical romances (preferably traditional regencies), historical mysteries, historical fiction - and virtually anything to do with Regency England. I also write reviews for Amazon as "bookjunkiereviews", but I will stop reviewing for them as of the end of January 2003.
