About stevemacqueen
I feel the best thing that ever happened to American top 40 pop/rock Radio happened around 1970/73. Stations across the country were fronted with a new genre of music. It wasn't country and it wasn't pop/rock it was a mixture of folk, rock, blues, gospel, and anything goes. Artist like Willie Nelson, The Eagles, and Poco were opening new doors. Some of the best overlooked music of this era never saw the light of day, and was never played on top 40 radio. In fact I still have a long standing rule that if I hear a song more than six or seven times on the radio I won't buy the CD. I want real music with some guts and balls, I don't want to hear the same pop jingle a 1000 times over, and I don't care if some people have never heard of the artist I enjoy. As a reviewer I have to say, don't trust my views trust your own, listen to Johnny Cash, U2, Megadeath, and Ray Charles in the same afternoon.
