About stobo22
I am a native of the Phoenix, Arizona area. When I was 12 I heard the Beatles on a large Channel Master transistor radio, and it's been non stop ever since. My interest in rock music and electronics has a long history, after all, I was born right after the trasistor was invented! After working at a few radio stations, I had my own audio service business. Following that, I was fortunate to work for a theater in the round and operate stage monitors for a few years. Gee, the old days, Billy Joel, Harry Chapin, Frank Zappa, Boston...heck most of them are gone! Anyway, I moved on to an Arts Center and worked sound there for 10 years, but, being a smaller venue, we had less big talent. Still there, as at the theater in the round, I was able to hone my craft and my equipment over time. We had some great equipment, talent and times there. After a back injury, I ended my pro audio career and wound up doing some A/V industrial installation and wound up in a consumer electronics manufacturer here in Arizona. Somehow, I have managed to stay unhitched. I still have a great penchant for audio and video electronics, but am having some trouble keeping up with the high paced technical changes the world has developed. I am computer operations fluent though, and follow what is going on in the world. Damn, there is a lot going on. Also, my specialty is ergonomic control of this equipment. For this I am generally a admirer of Sony equipment, as they always seem to attend to the details that others miss. I have a very large audio/video system that I have been working on, and when complete, I plan on having a detailed web page to explain what it has...it is just too big to describe!! Thanks for reading!
