Personally I think that Video games have been going down hill for at least the past 6 years or so. All developers care about nowadays are graphics that more realistically render a tree or building or other mundane crap that I could care less abut. Honestly if I want realism I will freaking go outside, which I highly encourage everyone to do on a regular basis by the way. If your like me you think that games of the current generation mostly stink and focus less and less on clever story telling, fun gameplay mechanics and the old school charm that existed on older gaming systems. The games I will be focusing my reviews on are the old school treasures that you may have never heard of, or remember nostalgically. Hopefully my writing will encourage you to dust off that old game or find it on eBay ad realize how little modern graphics actually contribute to an excellent gaming experience.
I am a big fan of RPGS so if you have any suggestions on ones I should check out leave me a message. Aside from that my top priorities in life are grad school, work, working out (I spend hours at the gym), hanging out with my friends and gaming when I have the time. I've played many RPGS over the years and still find time to play on a regular basis as a way of winding down. Every game that I review I have played the entire way through at least once on a system I either own or played at a friends. If you like my game reviews and would like to see me write on other subjects then tell me. I've decided to expand to movies as well so expect movie reviews to appear at a regular interval as well.
My reviews usually take about a week to write for a few reasons.
1.) I like to be thorough.
2.) I actually am pretty busy.
3.) I usually write sporadically and may be 75% done and take 5 days to finish the last 25% of it.
As far as my movie review go I will be writing them whenever I feel inclined to do so. Unlike my game reviews they will simply be my opinion written over the course of 30-60 minutes.
