Born in Chicago 1949. Moved around the Midwest and East Coast, finally migrated to California in '57. Always did well in school, especially in English and Journalism.
Dropped out of college to pursue my light show business called "Spark Naked." Worked with and photographed some major Rock groups.
Returned to school part time, worked in restaurants. Began to develop interest in wine. Hired to work in a retail wine shop in '71. Continued in the wine business ever since.
Learned to shop and cook as a long-time bachelor. Married Jane Ann in '85. She hates shopping and cooking, but doesn't mind clean-up. We share a similar sense of humor, love for movies, fine dining, the California coast, the NFL, and our four Yorkies.
First logged on the Internet in March, '99. Now editor for Professional Friends of Wine, a wine education and appreciation site.
Always enjoyed writing. Most of my Epinions are about wine. Taste so many on a weekly basis that I'll usually review only exceptionally delicious and good value wines. Now and then I'll review other products, gadgets, and services, when I feel both qualified and inspired.
