I have been a writer for most of my adult life. In that time, I've gained some insights on dos and don'ts of good writing.
A Few Tips
I have two criteria that I look for in H or VH reviews: making a point and giving info. I also hope that the review is written well, but if it makes a strong point and delivers high quality, usable info, the grammar and syntax get an easy pass.
If the essence of the review is a simple I love this or I hate that, then you get an SH or NH. And if you write like English is your 3rd or 4th language, you also get an SH or NH. It's that simple.
