About telefrog
I've lived in the Chicagoland area all my life, and love its museums, forest preserves, and lakefront. I'm the proud parent of a 4-yr-old, my daughter Erica. I've been married for 10 years, and have recently joined the ranks of the self-employed with my husband (24-7 together - this may be a mistake!). If anyone is interested, you can check out our auctions on eBay under What64.

I'm a camping enthusiast (gotta get away from all that concrete once in awhile!) and I firmly believe that camping re-centers you in a way nothing else can. I'm also an avid reader, mostly of SF/F. Many of the books on my shelf are old friends that I visit regularly. I'm fond of wordplay (have pun, will babble). I'm almost as nuts about music as I am about books, and my tastes are eclectic. (A random sampling of my shelves produced Dead Can Dance, Steeleye Span, Yo-Yo Ma, Pete Seeger, Dave Matthews, Bill Ward, and Judas Priest.) I enjoy crafting of just about any kind, but my newest passion is soapmaking.

As far as my ID goes, that has a 2-part origin. The frog part is due to my frog collection, and the tele is because I cut my teeth on the telecom industry. My Dad started as a lineman, then wound up with his own voice/data installation and consulting business. I worked with him for several years before cut-throat competition forced him to fold. I'm no longer in telecom installation, but I'm still kinda proud of the skills I picked up.

And yes, I do write exactly (almost - I edit out the bluer language and the Youse guys type stuff) the way I talk, which I have been told is an unfortunate blend of Chicagoese, construction worker, urban hillbilly, and self-taught intellectual. Since that sums me up pretty well, I won't complain!
