It's official: I suck.
I resolved back around new years to write more frequently, and then I went on an 8 month hiatus. Yah, well, things piled up outside of the epinions world. I had to work a bunch this summer (I know, lame excuse) and when I came back to classses, I was absolutely bombarded with schoolwork, so much that I couldn't get ANY of my extracurricular writing done, which includes essays, poetry, and what's shaping up to be a novel. Then I got mono, which knocked me out of school for a month and almost cost me my semester. I dropped the class though that was making up the bulk of the work (The Critique of Pure Reason by Immanuel Kant is the most unnecessarily difficult book ever), and I find myself with a little more spare time to write creatively and on my own conditions.
The Nov. 2 reviews I published here were originally published in my school newspaper, The Athenaeum, which pathetically has no up and running website yet. However, more ORIGINAL reviews WILL come... lest I forever remain in the Epinions' dog house for sucking. And that Bob Dylan reviewathon WILL continue ever so slowly... I just started writing the next one and it'll be around one day.... I'll probably put out a "top 10 of 2004" albums list sometime soon, probably after u2's new album comes out to give 'em a chance.
I'm currently attending Acadia University, which is in the bustling metropolis of Wolfville, Nova Scotia for studies in English and Philosophy. As part of my new years resolutions, I resolve to ignore my Epinions account less, and actually write some current reviews for you fans out there (all two or three of you ;-) . I hope you enjoy.
Well, then. Now for something completely different.
Who are you?
I'm the Musician. As you can tell from the name, I'm big on music. I listen to a lot (A CD collection of 200+), I play a lot (I play piano/keyboards, drums, bass guitar, and tuba, but mostly my acoustic Yamaha and my electric Gibson SG), and I love discussing it (my favourite artists are Radiohead, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Nine Inch Nails, and others...).
Where are you, and what do you do there?
I live in Canada in the suburbs of Toronto. However, eight months a year I'm attending Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. There I study Philosophy and English, I like The Simpsons, sports such as basketball, football, rugby, and racquetball, and I enjoy reading and writing.
