HEY, I joined epinions.com a long time ago, just to get feedback on what to expect from CD's that I planned to buy. Only recently did I realize that it would be fun to give a piece of my mind to everybody else. I'm absolutely OBSESSED with rock music. That's not to say that I don't like anything else. I respect classical music, and listen to it on occasion when i feel like hearing something especially complex. I despise most pop music. Not for it's happy, goofy teenybopper, bubblegum sound. Moreso for its musical simplicity and lack of lyrical imagination. As far as Rap music goes, i'm not sure if i even consider it a musical artform anymore. A few rappers out there truly make people think with their lyrics. Unfortunately, the other 90% of rappers simply like to talk about drugs, and killing people, and how much cooler they are than everybody else. It all gets so old.
Now for a long piece on my kind of music . . .

There are many others, i'm just not prepared to go through my collection of way to many CDs to pick them out. Besides, do you really care that much anyways?
On a final note, I believe that everybody has a true artist inside of them. A true artist is a person who takes every emotion in their soul and pours it out into their art, be it audial, visual, or whatever. Anybody can do that if they really take the time to do it.
