I'm 29 years old and work for a medium sized software company. I travel all over the U.S. and the rest of the world almost every week, or at least it seems like it. My job is educating our remote sales offices, distributors, customers and potential customers about our software products. We primarily work within the banking and finance industry.
However, I am not a technical person. I do not punch code, and wouldn't recognize a UNIX command if it stepped out and bit me. I do not get excited about the in-depth technical details of software or electronic gadgets. However, I do get excited about presenting the latest and greatest software and techniques to our customers. If there is a way for these things to save time, money or headaches, I'm glad to sell them.
I also love coming home to my wonderful wife. We work together and enjoy the same activities. When we're not working, we both enjoy the shooting sports, especially High Power matches, and other NRA shooting events. Hard to believe? I mean, a suit and tie during the week, a professional career, and a rifle on Saturday?!! Not the evil gun nut image that many in the media like to portray huh? Believe it or not, there are hundreds of thousands of us. What I really want to know is where CNN gets the gun enthusiasts with no teeth and the camo jackets? I don't often see too many of these types. Most of the folks I compete with are just like everyone else. I like working with firearms, and do a fair amount of work for others on their equipment. If you like to shoot, you need to be able to fix your own firearms, or have a large bank account to pay someone else to do it.
I also seem to do a lot of fix it work for friends and family, pretty much on anything they need. When I'm not fixing something for someone else, I'm working on our house, yard, or enjoying my time with friends. I also like to trade stocks on line. I haven't lost it all...yet.
I like sharing my opinions online about things I feel strongly about. I use a great deal of different tools and gadgets for household stuff, specialized tools for some activities, do a lot of reading, and plenty of travel. If I find something I really like, or really can't stand, or just plain think someone else would find interesting, I'll share it.
