About tjp1
My work history includes stints as a Pizza Delivery Driver, a horse farm worker, and time in a print shop bindery before going back to school and becoming a teacher. Being a pizza delivery driver (in an '82 Ford Escort) forced me to become a passable mechanic. My horse care experience included driving horses and carraiges and working with Thoroughbred broodmares and foals. My husband and I have been married thirteen years. Due to our daughter's ill health and disabilities from a stroke, I am staying home with her. To make ends meet, I garden, can, cook from scratch and bake our bread. I make all our daughter's clothing and a lot of mine. I am also doing a major overhaul of our 1948 Cape Cod, which was built and maintained with some dubious materials and methods. In the mid-nineties, I returned to college and earned a teaching degree, cum laude. I taught four years, working on a Master's as I taught. I have a medically fragile child, and I've been staying home to care for her and teach her since she was born.
